Head Water, Columbia Lake, 36X60, Original Painting
The relationship that the Columbia and Kootenay Rivers share has always fascinated me. I love the idea that the two rivers come so close to crossing paths early in their travels but instead head in opposite directions for hundreds of kilometers and then turn around and flow back finally uniting in Kootenay Lake. Its like some kind of a a geographical love story. It is that story and the fact that Columbia Lake is such a spectacular location and source of the mighty Columbia River that inspired this painting.
This 36"x60" original acrylic painting comes gallery wrapped with finished sides on a beefy 1 3/4" stretcher and is ready to hang.
