Snowghosts XXIII, 12"X12" original painting

This 12x12" acrylic painting part of an exciting new series I've been working on.  There is something magical that happens when these loose geometric backgrounds are juxtaposed against tight clean organic design. I love the explosion of colour that happens as the ink backgrounds take shape. 

All design aspects aside this painting is for all the winter lovers out there. Whether you've been skiing or boarding in the mountains, snowshoeing on the prairies or snowmobiling out east, no doubt you've come across some snow laden trees. Snowghosts as we call them in the mountains are one of those symbols of winter and always make me think of fun times had, playing in the snow.

The canvas is stretched on a 1 3/4" thick gallery frame.  The sides are finished in black and it arrives ready to hang.
